It might have been chilly outside last Saturday, but inside the Maltese Club, the atmosphere was as warm and vibrant as a summer’s night in Malta!

Our Maltin u Għawdxin community came together in full pride for our L’Imnarja Dinner Dance. Guests were treated to the ultimate comfort food—authentic, hearty Maltese home-cooking—before dancing the night away. The fantastic band Mercury absolutely rocked the house, crooning out hits and keeping the dance floor packed until the very last song!

The night wasn’t just about modern beats, though. We also celebrated our rich heritage with traditional għana (Maltese folk singing) between sets, and guests even caught a glimpse of history with a beautiful għonella modeled through the room.

🌟 It Takes a Village (and Hundreds of Hours!)

An event this spectacular doesn’t just happen overnight. It took hundreds of volunteer hours, countless weeks of planning, and an incredible amount of heavy lifting from our dedicated community members.

We want to extend a massive, heartfelt Grazzi Ħafna to the dream team who made Saturday night possible:

• Gaye Galea: Our phenomenal lead organiser who took the reins and made everything happen.
• Yola: For managing ticket sales, preparing equipment, and tackling countless odd jobs.
• Our Marvelous Kitchen Crew: Ray, Carmen, Maria, Ivan, Lee-Anne, Wendy, Maurice, and Gaye G. for feeding our souls (and stomachs!).
• Greg: Our star maintenance man, working tirelessly both in the lead-up and all through the night.
• Albert: For his non-stop, hard work behind the scenes during the event.
• Emily: Our bartender extraordinaire, keeping the drinks flowing and the spirits high.
• Melissa: For the brilliant advertising, capturing the night’s photos, and the beautiful decorations.
• Gaye P. & Gabriel: For their invaluable help with odd jobs leading up to the big night.

A Special Thanks to You! To everyone else who jumped in to set up, serve, clean up, and pack down—there are honestly too many hands to count, but please know your help did not go unnoticed.

Finally, a massive thank you to all of our wonderful guests who bought tickets and supported this event. Without your energy and presence, there would be no club and no beautiful memories like the ones we made on Saturday.
